The Harbor at Hickory Hill Caregiver Nike Bell Goes the ‘Extra Mile’ for Residents

PRATTVILLE, Ala. (May 2, 2019) - The Harbor at Hickory Hill caregiver Nike Bell has been named the facility’s annual Going the Extra Mile award winner.

"We are thankful to have a team of such wonderful caregivers like Nike who have a heart for the residents. What stands out most of all is her genuine love of the folks she serves,” said Christy Goodwin, executive director of The Harbor at Hickory Hill.

Bell, who has served The Harbor at Hickory Hill community for more than three years, displays exemplary dedication to the residents, their families and other team members. She is known for her hard work and compassion.

"I love the atmosphere of our facility. I love the people I work for and the people I work with. I especially love the residents! They make it feel like it's not just a job, they make you feel like you are part of a family,” Bell said.

Bell was selected for the annual award out of pool of quarterly winners due to her outstanding work.

The Going the Extra Mile program encourages residents, family members and employees to nominate team members who have performed exceptionally well in a specific scenario. The program committee reviews nominations each quarter, selecting a winner who receives a special parking space, a personalized plaque in the lobby and a $100 cash prize. The annual winner receives a $500 prize.
